ABA Student Supervision
ABAS provides supervised fieldwork for students accruing experience hours toward Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. Supervision is provided consistent with the current requirements of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
What supervision with ABAS looks like
- Your focus is on learning new behavior-analytic skills, grounded in the seven dimensions of applied behavior analysis. Baer, Wolf, and Risley set those out in 1968 in "Some Current Dimensions of Applied Behavior Analysis," in the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Supervision is delivered by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in good standing who meets all BACB supervisor requirements, including completion of the BACB-required supervision training.
- Supervised hours, observation requirements, and documentation follow the current BACB fieldwork standards in effect for your certification pathway.
- Trainees are encouraged to gain experience across multiple settings and with multiple supervisors.
For the fieldwork requirements that apply to you, always consult the BACB directly.
